TREATMENT DIRECTOR

(Treatment Services for Emotional Disorders)​

Full Time Position 

​

In accordance with 748.605

​

Qualifications:  Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with emotional disorders, including one year in a residential setting; or a licensed master social worker, a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed professional counselor, or a licensed marriage and family therapist, three years of experience providing treatment services for children with emotional disorders.  Any educational or professional qualifications to be considered as equivalent, in lieu of the above minimums, require prior approval of the CEO and Licensed Child Care Administrator or designee. Must be 21 years or older.

In accordance with 748.603

Duties:

  • Overall Treatment program, including responsibility for the management of operations therapeutic interventions; and

  • Provides direction and overall management of treatment program

  • Participation in admissions assessments or any evaluation of a child placement

  • Initial service plans and updates

  • Discharge or transfer summaries;

  • Approve any restrictions that will be imposed on a resident for more than seven days that have not been reviewed and approved by the service planning team, and any monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days;

  • Approve any restrictions to communication and visitation with the child’s family that are imposed on a child, but have not been reviewed and approved by the service planning team, including monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days;

  • Approve any restrictions to a particular room or building for more than 24 hours that are imposed on a child, but have not been reviewed and approved by the service planning team.

or Autism Spectrum Disorder)​

Qualifications:  Certified by the Texas Education Agency as an educational diagnostician. Master’s degree in special education or a human services field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Any educational or professional qualifications to be considered as equivalent, in lieu of the above minimums, require prior approval of the CEO and Licensed Child Care Administrator or designee. Must be 21 years or older.
